  24. Yours is not the only opinion on this matter. I believe that both you
  25. and Dan need to either:

  27.     learn english sufficiently well to know when language
  28.     constitutes an insult (assuming you are not intentionally being
  29.     abusive, but are just ignorant)

  31.     learn to value other people's feelings and opinions enough to
  32.     listen to them without being deliberately abusive and insulting
  33.  
  34.     stop posting verbally abusive and insulting material because it
  35.     is just the socially acceptable thing to do

  39. I don't really care which it is. Any of them would be acceptable. Dan
  40. contributes much more noise and stirred up feelings than he does useful
  41. information, in my opinion.

  46.     2 it is interesting
  47.     3 I learn useful things
  48.     4 I get to communicate with people of similar interests
  49.       with whom I can be (remote) friends

  51. Dan occasionally contributes to #3, usually his posts are a detriment to
  52. 1, 2, and 4.

  54. There are words in the english language to describe people who (mis)use
  55. words in order to create disharmony or demean other people. Try looking
  56. up the words "boor", "clod", and "egotist".
